Principal Designer Workshops

About the course:

 If you are already providing a Principal Designer service to Clients and would like a 'refresher' to check that you are delivering the PD role in an efficient and practical way, then this half-day training course is ideal.

A series of half-day courses across the country to help designers with the practical implementation of the PD role and reinforce some of the good practice procedures that help to make the PD role easier to discharge. These workshops are ideal for those who have already attended our one-day 'Introduction to the Principal Designer role' course.

These interactive workshop sessions will give advice and tips on:

• Getting your fee calculations correct and how to ensure your PD appointment covers the service you are being asked to provide;
• How to ensure all designers are discharging their duties;
• How to adequately ensure designer health and safety coordination;
• Assisting the Client with Pre-Construction Information;
• Compiling the Health and Safety File;
• Working with domestic clients.​

Places on these workshops are limited to a maximum of 10 delegates to ensure sufficient delegate interaction.

Cost:  £100.00 plus VAT per delegate (£120.00 incl VAT)​

Terms and Conditions

1. Workshops are half day events.  09.00 to 13:00 or 13:00 to 17:00, dependent upon venue.
2. Course delegate numbers are restricted to ensure a high level of tutor-student interaction and learning.
3. Your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received. Payment must be received in full at least 72 hours before the scheduled course start.
4. Courses are run subject to a minimum number of delegates. Should a course be cancelled by JRACDM on this basis a full refund will be paid.
5. Course booking cancellations by delegates are subject to the following fees: More than 20 working days before the event date - 20% of course fee; Between 11 and 20 working days before the event date - 50% of course fee; 10 or fewer working days before the event date  - Full course fee.
6. Delegates who wish to transfer to another course within 20 working days of the event will be subject to an administration charge of £40.00 plus VAT.
7. Delegates who fail to complete all parts of the course will not be eligible for any refund or free transfer although exceptions may apply due to individual circumstances at the training provider’s discretion.
